Lauris Mīlberts “THE EVERLASTING COVENANT” (130×138 cm)
Short information about the author:
Born in Rīga, Latvia, in 1979, Lauris Mīlbrets studied painting at Janis Rozentāls Art High School, and the Art Academy of Latvia (BFA, 2002; MFA, 2004). Lauris has been exhibiting his work since 2002. His work is in collections in Latvia, USA, Canada, Norway and Denmark.
Seeking to reveal the true identity of his subjects, Lauris refers to Scripture. The symbolic images of the artist’s latest collection reflect on the guidance of the Holy Spirit in people’s lives. Lauris strives to represent the reality of God that is invisible to the physical eye, thus giving his paintings an air of surrealism.
